      What is Psychotherapy?

In general, psychotherapy is a form of treatment addressing psychological concerns through strategies of talking and other techniques. The goal of psychotherapy is to alleviate distress and change cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns that interfere with leading a healthy and meaningful life. Other goals of psychotherapy may be self-exploration or the examination of interpersonal relationships for the purpose of achieving more productive and satisfying systemic adjustments.

  • Awareness

Gaining insight into your inner and external worlds offers you more opportunities to make effective decisions. Changing behaviors will help change your reality.

  • Process

Working through difficult emotions and overwhelming situations is a part of life. Although helpful at times, avoiding or resisting challenges may prolong and exacerbate symptoms.

  • Integration

Accepting both wanted and unwanted experiences will create space for you to better understand your needs and embody your authentic self. There begins the path to regain trust in yourself, safely examine painful memories of the past, and boldly, even joyfully, have hope for your future.
